Social commitment
Supporting our community and social commitment
Since our bakery was founded, we have been dedicated to supporting projects that create social value. Over the years, we have collaborated with various associations, working to make a positive impact on our community. Our support for these noble causes is primarily realized by offering our Brutti e Buoni, along with Panettoni and Colombe during the Christmas and Easter periods, at non-profit prices. This allows associations to resell them, often in personalized festive packages, for fundraising, thus contributing to the support of their important initiatives.
Fuck the Cancer
Since 2017, we have collaborated with the Fuck the Cancer project, initiated by the family of Erika Gibellini and the Curva Nord supporters of Varese Calcio to honor Erika and all those who fought cancer but, unfortunately, did not survive.
The project has its roots in the "Erika Gibellini Fund - Fuck the Cancer", established in 2016 in collaboration with the Giacomo Ascoli Foundation and the Gibellini family. Since then, it has carried out events and initiatives to raise funds for prevention and awareness projects.
As part of our contribution, every Christmas and Easter, we donate panettone and colomba cakes packaged in festive wrapping to the association, supporting their activities and promoting their mission of remembrance and hope. The funds raised so far have contributed to the creation of a hospital ward in Erika’s memory and three sterile rooms at the Ospedale Del Ponte in Varese.
Il Ponte del Sorriso association
Since 2022, we have partnered with the Il Ponte del Sorriso association, founded over 32 years ago by a group of mothers who wanted to improve conditions in the pediatric ward where their children were hospitalized. Their initial goal of bringing toys and comfortable chairs was met with great enthusiasm, forming a group that now includes 250 volunteers.
Il Ponte del Sorriso—whose name evokes the healing journey of children—offers a “magical medicine”: imagination, which is essential for facing illness. The association has implemented numerous projects to promote the health and well-being of sick children: playrooms have been created, schools introduced, and furniture and medical equipment provided.
All of this is made possible through the generosity of those who participate in fundraising events and, among various initiatives, purchase our Panettone and Colomba cakes during the holidays.
AIL
Since 2022, we have collaborated with the *Italian Association Against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma (AIL). To support their activities and fundraising initiatives, we provide our renowned Brutti e Buoni, thus contributing to their important causes.
AIL is a national organization committed to the fight against blood cancers. It actively supports scientific research and provides assistance to patients and their families. Founded in 1969, AIL operates across Italy, offering extensive support to hematological patients through a network of volunteers and professionals. Our partnership with AIL is a meaningful way for us to contribute to their vital mission and make a difference for many people in need.
Gavirate Football Team
In our ongoing commitment to the local area, we dedicate ourselves to supporting activities that define, enhance, and contribute to its social balance. A significant example is our support for Gavirate Calcio, which goes beyond the simple role of sponsorship. As children and grandchildren of Vittore Anessi—who always held sports, and particularly football, in great regard—we feel deeply connected to this reality.
Our sponsorship activities, both current and past, are not limited to promotional and commercial goals; they also represent a way, as a family first and foremost, to communicate the importance of consuming healthy, artisanal products made with love and passion.
Local rehabilitation community
With a strong commitment to the local community, we dedicate ourselves to supporting initiatives that enrich the social fabric and promote collective well-being. An important example is our collaboration with the rehabilitation community near the pastry shop, to which we donate leftover pastries and fresh products at the end of the day. In this way, we provide them with the opportunity to delight their guests with tasty, high-quality desserts.
This initiative is not merely an act of solidarity; it also represents an important step towards environmental sustainability, reducing food waste and valuing what we produce with love and care. We firmly believe that every small gesture can contribute to creating a positive impact, both for people and for the planet.
